Can you design and build an awning for my property in Johor?
PE Consultants Sdn Bhd designs and builds awnings and private enclosures for condominium balconies, private residences and roof terraces, landed houses, and factories and other commercial or industrial properties in Johor. Do you assist with authority submissions and approvals?
Yes. Where your awning or enclosure needs consent or approval, we help identify the relevant requirements and assist with preparing and coordinating the submissions. The decision on any application rests with the relevant authority or management body, so approval cannot be guaranteed.
Does every awning need approval?
No, not every awning needs formal approval, but many need some form of consent. Requirements depend on the property type, location, size and design of the structure, and may involve your management body, landlord or residents’ association, or the local authority. We review the requirements for your specific project before work proceeds.
Can you work on condominium balconies or landed houses?
Yes. For condominium balconies, we work within the building’s house rules and the management body’s requirements. For landed houses, we design car porch extensions, driveway covers and yard awnings, and check the requirements that may apply to your property.
What information should I send for an initial assessment?
Your property type, photos of the area from a few angles, the approximate size you want to cover, what you want to achieve, and your town or district in Johor. Drawings are not needed at this stage.

How does the quotation and site-assessment process work?
We review your photos and details first. If the project looks suitable, we arrange a site visit to take measurements and check site conditions. We then propose a design and scope of works and provide a quotation.
How long will the project take?
It depends on the size and complexity of the project and on whether consents or approvals are needed, since those timelines depend on the relevant authority or management body. We give you an estimated schedule once the scope is clear.
